Basic Machine Quilting and Binding Application
By request from many of my new beginning quilters, this class will teach you how to lay out
(sandwich) your quilt top with batting and backing, pin, and machine stitch using the basic stitch-
in-the-ditch, echo, or cross-hatching method. Some at-home preparation is required in order to
practice the techniques during class time. You may bring a quilt top for advise to class but due
to space limitations, we will only be applying technique to your small samples that you’ve
prepared at home. During the second part of class, you will learn how to create and apply the
binding, along with a hand sewing finishing technique. This is a 3 hour class.
